1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Taste of Tradition website (the "Site") and any purchase you make through it. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to place an order on this Site. By ordering, you confirm that the information you provide (name, address, phone number) is accurate, complete, and belongs to you or someone who has authorised you to use it.

3. Products & Descriptions

Our pickles are handmade in small batches using traditional recipes. Because they are handcrafted and made with natural ingredients, slight variations in colour, texture, oil level, and taste between batches are natural and are not defects. Product images on the Site are for representation; the actual jar and label may vary slightly. We make every effort to describe our products accurately, including net weight and key ingredients.

4. Pricing & Offers

• All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Shipping charges, where applicable, are shown clearly at checkout before payment.
• Discounts and offers (e.g. prepaid discounts) have eligibility conditions displayed at checkout, and are applied automatically when conditions are met.
• Offers can be modified or withdrawn at any time without prior notice, but this never affects orders already placed.
• In the rare event of a pricing error on the Site, we reserve the right to cancel the order with a full refund and will inform you promptly.

5. Orders & Payments

An order is confirmed only after successful payment (full prepaid amount, or the COD booking amount). Payments are processed securely by Razorpay — we never store your card, UPI, or banking credentials.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in cases of suspected fraud, bulk/reseller ordering, unserviceable locations, or stock unavailability. In all such cases, any amount paid is refunded in full as per our Refund Policy.

6. Cash on Delivery (COD) Terms

• COD orders require a small online booking amount to confirm the order; the balance is paid in cash at delivery.
• The booking amount is fully adjusted in your order total — it is not an extra charge.
• Please keep the exact balance amount ready at delivery; couriers may not carry change.
• If a COD order is refused at delivery without a valid reason, the booking amount is non-refundable as it covers packing and shipping costs.

7. Food & Allergen Notice

Our products may contain or come into contact with mustard, mustard oil, nuts, and other common allergens, as they are prepared in a home-style kitchen. Please read the ingredient list on each product before ordering, and consume responsibly if you have known food allergies. Store jars as directed (cool, dry place; use a dry spoon) — improper storage after delivery is not covered by our Refund Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — the Taste of Tradition name, logo, product photos, recipes descriptions, text, and design — is our property and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays and failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (courier disruptions, natural events, regulatory actions, etc.). Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We genuinely prefer to resolve any issue directly and quickly — message us on WhatsApp first, and we will do our best to make it right. Any unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Changes apply to orders placed after the update — orders already placed are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of purchase.
